Lowry Star JR

Lowry Star stood at the Bower Ranch for more than 20 years as a stud, leaving a legacy that extends far beyond his lifetime. Out of many potential prospects to carry on the name, Jim Bower chose a 1996 Bay Roan stallion to pass on the Lowry Star handle, and JR has definitely made his own mark on our breeding program. He is a competitor, as evidenced by wins and placings in multiple disciplines at futurities and ropings, and he is a gentleman. His colts have proven to be some of the easiest to work with and train while still possessing that competitive edge to suit all kinds of riders from the recreational to the professional.

Bugsys Superstar

A 1/2 brother to a PRCA Tripping Horse of the year, Bugsys has proven to be a great cross on our Lowry Star daughters. He produces almost 100% color and you'll find his progeny near and far at ropings and ranches. Watch for the 2017 colt crop!!

Lowry Ropn Ammo

Lowry Ropn Ammo was born and raised at the Bower ranch. This outstanding bay stallion has it all, from his strong-made build and spot on conformation, to a solid mind that makes him suitable for anyone from kids to the competitive roper. Ammo now stands as a stud in California, and we enjoy getting updates from owner Nathan McGrand. We knew Ammo was something special, so we did hold on to a few of his daughters who stand at our ranch and are producing some stellar foals of their own. These babies are just aging into riding, and range from rope to barrel horse prospects.
